It's since been revealed that it wasn't actually Denim fabric Grey committing the Dark Phoenix's works, but that doesn't lessen the impact of the story. In Avengers vs X-Men, however, Cyclops had his own run as the Unlighted Phoenix (and it was in spades him), when He killed Prof Xavier.
